How it started...

In 2016, our leader and host Hans had a crazy idea: a surf wave in the Enns. Sounds crazy?

It was. But that's exactly why we love it. The vision: not just to look at the Enns - but to experience it. And as it is: wild, free, nature-made. Fast forward: today there is private access to the Enns. Wild, close to nature, planned with a lot of love.

And who knows, maybe the surf wave will come soon?

Why you should do it

Ice bathing does something to you. And it really does:

From just 30 seconds. That's all it takes. But of course you can. Winter temperature: rarely below 4 °C, summer temperature: also rarely above 10 °C.

Ice bathing with Jonas - Our tip

Jonas, our "Head of Cold", regularly swims in the Enns - and has a few tips for anyone venturing into the cold water for the first time:

  • "Breathe, don't fight." The first reflex is often: panic. But that's where the magic lies. Breathe deeply, stay calm - and let your body work.
  • "Not too long - but regularly." Just 30 to 60 seconds is enough to feel the effect. Regularity is more important than duration.
  • "Move warmly beforehand, wrap up warm afterwards." Cold water is no substitute for exercise - but it's a great addition. Afterwards, tea and a warm blanket help.
The access? Easy - and directly through the spa.

Out in your bathrobe, down the stairs, a few steps - and you're there. A separate path leads you to this special place without a road, without detours, without stress: protected, close to nature, lovingly designed with stones, shrubs and lots of open space.
